A. Core

   Core is the tiny processing unit into CPU.Multicore CPU helps to devide whole task into small tasks at a time.so, it is decreases the processing time .So,more cores means more performance in work.

B. Thread

       Let's take a example ,when we search anything on Google & when our search was progressing two things were having 1,we saw a rotating symbol.2, result was searching by Google.


     So, thread is not a hardware component it is a technology to exicute more than one code at a time .so,multi-threading anable cpu means more performance in work.


C. Clock speed

        Clock speed means how many cycles performs by CPU in one second.The unit of clock speed is GHz.Base Clock speed of R5 3600 is 3.6GHz , it means   3.6 billions execution/second.More clock speed means more performance in gaming.

D. Cashe memory

       Cashe memory or L2 cashe is the fastest memory .In the time of very fast exicution ,cashe memory delivers data to CPU.More cashe memory means more performance in content creation.

E. Architecture

       CPU architecture depends on two factors 1,size of transistor and 2, construction of CPU .
         More tiny transistor means more CPU performance and more efficient power consumption then previous generation.Now 7nm is the smallest size of transistor on desktop CPU.

I suggest you to bay a CPU with letest architecture.

F. TDP

       Thermal design power, is a parameter to display power consumption of CPU.The unit of TDP is watt.Like R5 3600 has a 65w of TDP.CPU with less TDP generate less heat to operate.

G.Locked/Unlocked

      CPU has two types of clock speed ,base clock & boost clock.
Clock speed of a locked CPU varry on the limit between base & boost clock ,we can't increase the clock speed of that type of CPU in any condition.
     But in the case of unlocked CPU we can increase the clock speed of that CPU crossing the limit of boost clock.This is called overclocking.By overclocking we can increase our CPU performance up to 10%-15%.
It is vary dengerous process with out poper knowledge.I dose not suggest you.

3. APU

     APU stands for , accelerated processing unit.CPU with integrated called APU.This types of CPU has no RAM ,so they use D-RAM as there V-RAM . If are you decide to bay a APU, ensure that you have more amount of RAM than your requirement.Beacose ,APU consumes RAM. 

4.How to choose a CPU by         requirment.

      In previous point we have discussed some basic information about Desktop CPU.
Now we apply this knowledge to pick a CPU for you.
     
Suppose you are a gamer;
 
 Your need is more FPS on game,
So your requirement is high clock speed CPU.If your main task is gaming and streaming,go with hexa core CPU , don't have to need more cores, because they dose not utilities.When you will play on 2K even 4K, games are gradually Graphics card demanding not CPU demanding.Than ,your requirement is GPU power not CPU power.

Suppose you are a content creator;
               If your main task is video editing, graphics designing,3D modelling etc.Your requirement is more cores and threads  not clock speed. Then your work experience will be more smoother & faster.

               Just remember it,if  gaming or streaming is your goul then go with higher clock speed,and if your goul is content creation then go for more cores & thread.But wait , balance is important.Please understand what I am said , suppose you are a gamer, you have a CPU with 5.3GHz boost clock and two cores,it is a unbalanced condition ,this CPU is unable to gaming.But ,see that it has higher clock speed!

5. CPU platform

     Desktop CPU have two types of Platform LGA(line grid array)
and PGA(pin grid array).
     Intel use LGA platform and AMD use PGA platform.

Example of LGA platform is LGA 771

Example of PGA platform is AM4.


6.How to install CPU on             Motherbord

   AMD lineup;


   1. Firstly AM4 socket leaver             was pulled 

   2. Carely matched the triangle         drown on cpu with     

       Motherbord white triangle.

   3. Slowly take the CPU on AM4 

       Socate .

    4. Then press the leaver down          and locked.

Intel lineup;


1. First open the socate leed and pulled up.

2. Carely matched the triangle drown on cpu with Motherbord white triangle.

3.  Slowly take the CPU on Socate .

4. Then press the leaver down          and locked.Here you needed some force, because it is a spring loaded mechanism.


Caution

     1.Don't touch the CPU pin or surface.


     2. Don't drop it from hand .

     3. Don't apply force on CPU socket.


7. Streem of CPU

     There are two types of CPU 

main Streem CPU and workstation CPU .


Mainstream CPUs are use for gaming, streaming and content creation.Like Ryzen 3,5,7, and 9.

In Intel lineup i3,i5,i7 and i9 .

Workstation CPUs are use for server, scientific research etc.Like AMD Threadriper ,Eapic and Intel Xeon processors.
